2Kings 21****UPSIDE DOWN****
Manasseh(=forgetting)
was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem(=city of peace). And his mother's name was Hephzibah(=my delight in her). :2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. :3 for he built up again the high places which Hezekiah(=the might of Jehovah) his father HAD DESTROYED; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did AHAB(=uncle) king of Israel; and WORSHIPPED all the host of heaven, and SERVED THEM.:4>
And he built altars in the House of The Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. :5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of The House Of The Lord. :6 And he made his SON(=seed/fruit) pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to PROVOKE him to anger. :7 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the House of which the Lord said to DAVID(=MY WELL-BELOVED), and to SOLOMON(=peaceful) his SON(=seed/fruit), In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I Have Chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: :8 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them. :9 But they HEARKENED NOT: and Manasseh SEDUCED THEM to do More Evil than did the nations WHOM THE LORD DESTROYED before the Children of Israel.:10>
And the Lord spake by his Servants the Prophets, saying, :11 Because Manasseh King of Judah(=praised/celebrated) hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah(=praised/celebrated) also to Sin with his IDOLS: :12 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such Evil upon JERUSALEM(=city of Peace) and JUDAH(=praise/celebrated of the Lord), that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.:13>
And I will stretch over Jerusalem THE LINE OF SAMARIA, and the PLUMMET OF THE HOUSE OF AHAB: and I WILL wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN.:14>
And I WILL Forsake THE REMNANT of MINE INHERITANCE, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a PREY and a SPOIL(see Isa 8:1) to all their enemies; :15 Because they have done that which was evil in My Sight, and have Provoked Me to anger(see Isa 5:25....), since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt(=house of bondage/Iron Furnance), even unto this day.:16>
Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. :17 Now Manasseh, and all that hed did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? :18 And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of Uzza: and Amon(=builder) his son reigned in his stead. :19 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was MeshulLemeth(=friend), the daughter of Haruz(=zealous) of Jotbah(=goodness).:20>And he did that which was EVIL in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh(=forgetting) did. :21 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them. :23 and the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
:24 And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah(=whom Jehovah heals) his son king in his stead. :25 Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah(=praised/celebrated)? :26 And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza(=strength): and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.Extra: 2Kings 22:1>
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah(=one beloved/beloved of Jehovah), the daughter of Adaiah(=adorned by Jehovah) of Boscath(=rocky height). :2 And he did that which was RIGHT in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David(=well-beloved) his father, and TURNED NOT aside to the right hand or to the left, :3 And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan(=coney) the son of Azaliah(=whom the Lord reserved), the son of Meshullam(=friend), the scribe, to the house of the Lord, saying, :4 Go up to Hilkiah(=God is my portion) the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people: :5 and let them deliver it into the hand of the DOERS of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord: and let them give it to the DOERS of the work which is in the house of the Lord, to REPAIR THE BREACHES of the house.:6>Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house. :7 Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they DEALT FAITHFULLY. :8 And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found THE BOOK OF THE LAW in the house of the Lord. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. :9 And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered THE MONEY that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that DO THE WORK, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord. :10 And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying: Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
:11>
And it came to pass, when the king had heard THE WORDS OF THE BOOK of THE LAW, that he rent his clothes. :12 And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam(=a brother who raises up) the son of Shaphan, and Achbor(=mouse) the son of Michaiah(=who is like God/Michal), and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah(=the Lord has made) a servant of the king's, saying, :13 Go ye, inquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning THE WORDS OF THIS BOOK that is found: for GREAT IS THE WRATH OF THE LORD that is kindled against US, because OUR FATHERS have not hearkened unto the Words of This Book, TO DO according unto all that which is written concerning US.:14>So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah(=weasel) the prophetess, the wife of Shallum(=retribution) the son of Tikvah(=hope), the son of Harhas(=very poor), keeper of the wardrobe: (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college; and they communed with her. :15 And she said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me. :16> Thus saith the Lord, Behold
, I WILL BRING EVIL upon this place(Jerusalem), and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all THE WORDS OF THIS BOOK which the king of Judah hath read: :17 Because they have FORSAKEN(Manasseh-forgetting) ME(see 1Sam 8:7, rejected ME), and have burned incense unto OTHER gODS, that they might Provoke ME to anger with all the work of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against This Place(Jerusalem), and shall not be quenched.:18>But to the king of Judah(Josiah) which sent you to inquire of the Lord, thus sahll ye say to him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard; :19 Because THINE HEART WAS TENDER, and thou HAST HUMBLED thyself before the Lord, when thou heardest what I spake AGAINST This Place(Jerusalem), and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become A Desolation and A Curse, and has rent thy clothes, and wept before ME; I ALSO HAVE HEARD THEE, saith the Lord. :20 Behold therefore I WILL GATHER THEE unto THY FATHERS, and thou shall be gathered into thy GRAVE IN PEACE; and thine eyes SHALL NOT SEE all the Evil which I WILL bring upon This Place. And they brought the king WORD AGAIN

>IN the twelfth year of Ahaz(=possessor) king of Judah began Hoshea(=salvation) the son of Elah(=an oak, strength) to reign in Samaria(=watch mountain) over Israel nine years. :2 And he did that which was EVIL in the sight of The Lord, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him. :3 Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him Presents. :4 And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought No Present to the king of Assyria, as he had done Year by Year: Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.:5>
Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. :6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the King of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah(=?) and in Habor(=?) by the river of Gozan(=?), and in the cities of the Medes. :7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their god, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt(=house of bondage/the Iron Furnance), from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt and had FEARED OTHER gODS. :8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord CAST OUT from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. :9 and the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they BUILT THEM high places in all their cities, from the tower of the Watchmen to the fenced city. :10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: :11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger: :12 For they served Idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them: Ye shall not do THIS THING.:13>
Yet the Lord testified against Israel(ten tribes), and aginst Judah(two tribes), by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, TURN YE FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to ALL THE LAW which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. :14 Notwithstanding THEY WOULD NOT HEAR, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that DID NOT BELIEVE in the Lord their God. :15 And they REJECTED his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them, and they followed vanity, and became Vain, and went after the heathen that were round about the m, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not DO LIKE THEM.:16>And they left all the commandment of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. :17 And they caused their sons(seed/increase) and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves TO DO EVIL in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
:18>
Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah ONLY. :19 Also Judah(=praised/celebrated) KEPT NOT the commandments of the Lord their God, but WALKED in the statutes of Israel WHICH THEY MADE. :20 And the Lord REJECTED All the SEED OF ISRAEL, and afflicted them , and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had CAST THEM OUT OF HIS SIGHT. :21 For he RENT ISRAEL from the HOUSE of DAVID; and they made Jeroboam(=whose people are many) the son of Nebat(=aspect) king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the Lord, and made them SIN A GREAT SIN::22>For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; :23 UNTIL the Lord REMOVED ISRAEL out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day. :24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon(=confusion/confounded), and from Cuthah(=?), and from Ava(=ruin), and from Hamath(=fortress), and from Sepharvaim(=the two Sipparas), and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof. :25 An so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they FEARED NOT the Lord: therefore the Lord SENT LIONS among them, which slew some of them.
:26>Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, KNOW NOT the manner of the God of the land; therefore he hath SENT LIONS among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they Know Not the manner of the God of the land. :27 Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither One of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let HIM teach them the manner of the God of the land.
:28>Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel(=house of God), and taught them how they should FEAR THE LORD. :29 Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt. :30 And the men of Babylon made Succoth-be-noth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the man of Hamath made Ashima. :31 And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. :32 So they FEARED THE LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. :33 They FEARED THE LORD, and served Their Own gODS, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
:34>
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they FEAR NOT THE LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the Lord commanded The Children Of Jacob, WHOM HE NAMED ISRAEL; :35 With whom the Lord had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, YE SHALL NOT FEAR OTHERS gODS, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: :36 But the Lord, who brought you UP OUT of The Land Of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall YE FEAR, and him shall YE WORSHIP, and to him shall YE DO SACRIFICE. :37 And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not FEAR OTHER gODS.:38>And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall NOT FORGET; neither shall YE FEAR OTHER gODS. :39 But the Lord your God ye SHALL FEAR; and HE SHALL DELIVER YOU out of the hand of ALL your enemies
. :40 Howbeit they DID NOT HEARKEN, but did after their former manner. :41 So these nations FEARED THE LORD, and served Their Graven Images, both Their Children, and Their Children's Children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.
