Baptized With The Holy Ghost and With Fire
Luke 12:42>
And the Lord said, Who then is THAT FAITHFUL and
Wise Steward, Whom His Lord
shall make ruler over His Household, TO GIVE them their portion of Meat in due season? :43 Blessed is That Servant, whom His Lord when he cometh shall find So Doing.
:47 And That Servant,
which Knew His Lord's will, and prepared Not himself, neither did according to His will, shall be beaten with Many Stripes. :48 But He that Knew Not, and did commit things worthy of Stripes, shall be beaten with Few Stripes. FOR unto whomsoever MUCH IS GIVEN, of him shall be MUCH REQUIRED: and to whom MEN have committed much, of Him THEY will ask The More. Luke 12:49>
I am come to Send FIRE on the earth: and what will I, If IT be Already KINDLED? :
50
But I have A Baptism(a Fire) to be baptized With: and how am I straitened Till IT be accomplished
.
:51 Suppose Ye that I am come to Give PEACE on earth: I tell You, NAY; but Rather Division....
Isaiah 50:10>
Who is among You that Feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the Voice of His Servant, that
walketh in DARKNESS, and hath NO LIGHT? let Him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.
:11 Behold,
>And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto Them(the multitude) in Parbles? :11 He answered and said unto them. BECAUSE IT is GIVEN unto YOU To Know the Mysteries of The Kingdom of Heaven, but To Them IT IS NOT GIVEN. (THEM=the unRefined/tested/proved)
(Rev 3:18>I counsel thee TO BUY OF ME Gold TRIED IN THE FIRE, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest Be Clothed, and that the Shame of thy Nakedness do not appear; and anoint Thine Eyes with eyesalve, that THOU MAYEST SEE.)

Hi,
Are you living the spiritual life or a false beleiver.

Rom 7 & 8, Walking in the Spirit.....Inward man....
why do you ask?
John said about Jesus, He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Some listeners would be baptized with the Holy Ghost. They will be the saved ones. Them who aren't baptized with the Holy Ghost will be baptized with fire, in the 'Lake of Fire'. They are the ones who will be lost eternally.

Yes! John did say that there comes one after me, He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with Fire.
But only those who Endure Until the end shall be saved.
Thanks for the comment!
(Rom.3:20)- By the deeds of the Law, no flesh was justified./ (Rom.3:25)- Because of the forbearance of God, He didn't punish them because of these past sins, but they were forgiven later through Christ./ (Rom.3:26)- They, and all of us are justified because we believe in Jesus. (Acts.2:38)- When we obey, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Then, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. That's the beginning of our eternal life. (1 John 1:9)- We still must confess our sins. But, there are sins we don't remember to confess. (James 4:17)- To him that knows to do good and doesn't, they have sinned. / We have many sins of omission. We haven't always done the Lord's will.

What version of the Bible are you reading from.
KJV speaks differently!!
I like the KJV, but I have most versions. I always use the KJV for difficult passages, but other versions help put more light on the subject in question. I paraphrased the verses that I indicated. The KJV is difficult to understand sometimes. What I paraphrased explains what the verses say. I simplified it for easier understanding. Dig it out and check your commentaries. Some passages are easily misunderstood. When you made your comment, I began to think I was wrong, but after deeper study, I understood it better. You need to take the whole chapter or you may get it out of context.

The KJV being a word for word translation gives a non-bias position, rather than a thought for thought translation or a paraphrased translation. When I began my journey with God and His written word, I looked to man and his commentaries to guide me. I was told to ask for chapter and verse, whenever someone said, The Bible said. That became controversial, because most of what was said was not, I repeat, was not written in the scripture. It was their version of what the text said to them.
Once upon a time, I was trying to convince a friend to become as I was, a born again christian. Things changed when he asked me, what does it mean to be born again. I could not remember all that I had been told about the subject, so I returned to my church for answers. Asking questions of my bible class teacher(s) put Me, and not them, in a bad light, because they did not have direct answers. They only had their paraphrase version of what it meant to them. Then began my quest, searching the scripture on my own for answers I couldn't get in the church.
Needless to say, today, I am a born again christian, by the written word of God. "Being born again, not of corruptible see, but of incorruptible, by THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever".
My tools for study: KJV Bible, Strong's Concordance, Smith's Bible Dictionary. The Bible is the best commentary on the Bible!
Thanks for your comments
Yes, I agree that scripture explains scripture, but since I don't understand it all; I check out other opinions. Commentaries sometimes disagree. They don't know everything either. The KJV is best for deeper study, but it's easy to take scripture out of context. It takes a lot of study. I don't believe that the KJV or any other version is word for word all the time. Languages are too different for that. What about christians before 1611AD; they had no King James Version. The KJV is good but not perfect. The word Baptism was not translated from the Greek. The Greek word Baptizo means to dip, plunge, wash or immerse. The translators should have translated it to immerse, but the Church of England didn't immerse, they sprinkled. It would go against the church, so they took a transliteration of the word: They took the Greek word Baptizo and coined a new english word 'Baptism'. This muddied the water and didn't hurt the church. Bible printers still won't translate the word, because they like to sell Bibles.

I can't speak prior to the 1611 KJV. But when I arrived, most quoted the KJV of the Bible. At the first, I understood not one thing and only knew one verse of scripture, Psalms 23.
Seeing how most version of the Bible differ by the use of different words and thoughts. How do you make your choice of which to believe is the truth and conveys the mind of God?
Off topic, Let me pose a trivia question to you.
Why did the Hebrews celebrate the Passover with Unleaven Bread?
