Luke 18:9

>And he spake This Parable unto certain which Trusted in Themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: :10

Two Men went up into the temple to pray; the One a Pharisee, and the Other a Publican. :11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with Himself, God, I thank thee, That I am not as Other Men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as This Publican. :12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I pssess. :13 And the Publican, Standing Afar Off, would not lift up So Much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God Be Merciful to me A SINNER. :14 I tell you, This Man went down to his house Justified rather than the other: for every one that exalted Himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth Himself shall be exalted.

Luke 16:14>

And the Pharisees also, who were Covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. :15 And he said unto them, Ye are They which Justify Yourselves before men; for that which is hightly esteemed Among Men is abomination in the sight of God. :16 The law and the prophets were Until John: since THAT TIME the Kingdom of God is Preached, and Every Man Presseth into it.(as New Wine/New Bottles). Extra: Acts 1:4>And, being assembled Together with them, commanded them that they should Not Depart from Jerusalem (=city of Peace), but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me(see Jn 14:25=28). >>>rtning>>>Acts 1:4, in-part, Ye have heard of me. :5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized With the Holy Ghost not many days hence. :6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time RESTORE again The Kingdom to ISRAEL

. (=as a prince hast thou power with God and with man and hast prevailed).

Luke 16:19>

There was a Certain Rich Man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: :20 And there was a Certain Beggar named Lazarus (=Whom God help), which was laid at his gate full of sores. :21 And desiring TO BE FED with the Crumbs which fell from the Rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. :22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Ahraham’s bosom: the Rich Man also died, and was buried: :

23 And in hell He Lift UP HIS EYES, being in torments, and seeth Abraham Afar Off, and Lazarus in his bosom

. :24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool My Tongue; for I am tormented in This Flame. :25 But Abraham (=a father of many nations) said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus (=whom God help) evil things, but Now he is Comforted, and thou art tormented. :26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would come from thnce.

Luke 16:27

>The he said, I pray thee therefore, Father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: :28 For I have five (-#5=grace) brethren; that he may Testify unto them, lest they also come into This Place of Torment. :29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. (Note: On the Mount God spoke to Jesus’ disciples, "Hear Ye Him.") :30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if One went unto them from the dead, they will repent. :31 And he said unto him, If they HEAR NOT Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though One rose from the dead.

Extra, Extra: Matthew 23:1

>Then spake Jesus

to the multitude, and TO HIS DISCIPLES, :2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees Sit in Moses’ seat: :3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; BUT DO NOT ye after Their Works: for they say, and DO NOT

. :8 But be not ye called Rabbi: For One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. :9 And call NO MAN your father UPON THE EARTH: for One is your Father, which is IN HEAVEN.

Matthew 3:5>

Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, :6 And were Baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. :7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees AND Sadducees come TO HIS BAPTISM, he said unto them, O generation of Vipers, who hath warned you TO FLEE from the wrath to come? :8 Bring forth therefore Fruits meet for repentance: :9 AND THINK NOT to say Within Yourselves, WE HAVE ABRAHAM to our FATHER: for I say unto you that God is able of These Stones ro Raise Up Children unto Abraham (see Galatian chapts 3 & 4).

Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility:

FOR God RESISTETH THE PROUD, and giveth grace to The Humble. :6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time

Are there any Proud Christians? Can the two, being proud, and being a christians exist or occupy the same soul?

Andrew, I hope you will pick-up on the contrast being drawn between those who rely on the law and knowledge that they are the offspring of Father Abraham: and Faith in Jesus and God that sent him......<>

I have never met a Christian who claimed to be proud or haughty. But I have come across many proud Christians myself amongst them who cloak themselves in humbleness and love.

Though we have received grace from the finished work of Jesus the law and knowledge are still relevant. The word of God can never be obsolete.

He who began a good work in you will contnue until the day of Jesus Christ.
