Heb 9:15
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of THE TRANSGRESSIONS THAT WERE UNDER THE FIRST TESTAMENT, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

If a man is Born-Again receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, then he is sealed until the day of redemption (Of our bodies). Without the Spirit of Christ, one isn't His. (John 3:6)- The Holy Spirit gives birth to our spirit, and then we have eternal life.

Hebrews 9:21>Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. :22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without the shedding of blood is No Remission.

Note: according to Romans 3:25, the only sins that were forgiven were Past Sins!
(Rom.3:20)- By the deeds of the law there shall be no deeds justified./ (Rom.3:25-26)- Since OT sins were not forgiven under the law, it was the forbearance of God that the sinner wasn't punished for sins that were past, but now they are forgiven because of Jesus. Jesus purchased the church with his blood. The spirits of OT saints couldn't go to heaven. Instead they went to Paradise in the earth. (Think Lazarus & the rich man) When Jesus died on the cross, his Spirit went to the lower parts of the earth.-(Eph.4:8) He then took the captives in Paradise to heaven. (John 20:17) Jesus told Mary Magdalene, at His resurrection, "Don't touch me, I haven't yet ascended to the Father. Now, Paradise is in heaven, where the OT & NT saint's spirits are in Paradise.
